Journal Entry 7: 180 degrees in Aksyon Kabataan Asia

The frame reflects how the film director wants us to see. I hosted Aksyon Kabataan Asia at Veritas Asia, an International Filipino Oriented Youth Program endorsed by Superstar Dingdong Dantes through Pocholo Gonzalez’ Voice of the Youth Network. The youth program declared popular by facebook in 2018 on the day I interviewed Ateneo Eagles Aaron Black, the son of NBA player Norman Black.

The starting episodes were messy. We took a shot and kept on moving in 360 degrees until the Film Producer/Director taught us to focus on one shot without changing position.The main host(Me) shall always frame right of the co-host(Louie or TJ or Ed). I did not know that the director was using 180 degrees principles until I attended this class and read the Film arts book by Bordwell and Thomson.
